TikTok is filled with all kinds of pornographic, bizarre, and sometimes even dangerous content. Most social media platforms also have the same problem, but what makes TikTok unique is that its powerful algorithm can quickly drag you into the dark abyss.

I decided to check out what kinds of pornographic content there were, and what I saw was truly shocking. How could such things be posted on TikTok? Why are some adult content creators banned, while genuine pornographic content can still circulate for months? How could an app featuring silly dance moves turn into a platform filled with semen and evil deeds?

Let's explore the "TikTok porn iceberg" together. To be honest, we have only uncovered a fraction of it.

TikTok Moderation

According to TikTok's own community guidelines, TikTok completely prohibits adult nude content and restricts overly revealing clothing. Content that contains sexual innuendo or explicit language, as well as explicit sexual content, is also blocked from the main page.

But how does TikTok review adult content? Besides relying on user reports, TikTok also fully utilizes modern technology.

As stated on TikTok's transparency page, the first step to ensuring user safety is an "automated review technology".

These systems will examine various signals within the content, including keywords, images, titles, descriptions and audio. If no violations are detected, the content will be available for viewing on the platform. If potential violations are identified, the automatic review system will transfer them to our security team for further review, or delete the content automatically if it is highly certain that it violates our community guidelines.

If a post is marked by the mod-bot, it will be submitted for manual review to make a confirmation decision. This may result in the post being deleted or removed from the main page.

However, many adult content creators are highly dissatisfied with this system. It's not hard to imagine that a robot might make some incomprehensible decisions, such as banning a user for exposing their cleavage, while another user might post their labia on your screen.

Under the close attention of this "pearl collector" in the tech world, how did those creators of spicy content thrive? Let's delve deeper into the various levels of spicy content on TikTok and find out.

Level One: Spicy, Thirsty, Kinky, and Educational

Another type of spicy TikTok account banging its head against the wall is more educational than titillating. While TikTok’s community guidelines allow for discussion of sexuality and reproductive health, sex and kink educational creators, users don’t know if they’ve crossed a line until it’s too late.

The same goes for posts that feature a bit too much boob or butt.

In most cases, these accounts have learned how to dance their bountiful and bouncing bodies around the laser beams like they're in a heist movie from the 80s. At least when it comes to language, most creators have found creative ways of avoiding the robo-mod. This is where we got fun euphemisms like “corn star” and “onlypans”. Many have used the words “fake body” in the post description or have gotten creative about the spelling of words like “sex” or “boobies”.

The other enraging aspect of TikTok's extremely fallible moderation process is the trolls reporting content they disagree with because of political or ideological beliefs. Queer creators have had to fight this uphill battle more than most. 

For now, your favorite cosplayers, thicc goth mommies, and Dom daddies are safe and will show up on your main feed with few problems. But, what about the even spicier content creators we love?

Level Two: #bounce, #flashtok, #countdown, Sounds, and other TikTok Trends

Many TikTok challenges or trends have found ways to avoid being reported, but the situation seems to have become even more extreme recently.

Oh, even more bizarre.

TikTok tags are a simple and easy-to-use method that can help you find some more exciting content, such as muscular men and women dancing, rubbing their bodies together, or lip-syncing to a particularly hot audio clip. #bounce, #daddy, and even #accountant (thanks to a trend in 2020 when the models on Onlyfans lied about their job duties to avoid being asked about it) and other tags can all help you find some even more explosive content.

Sounds can also bring some hot trends to TikTok. The previously popular dance trends have become even more intense as a result. Songs by Armani White such as "BILLIE EILISH" or Andre Swilley's "Pistol" usually feature transitions from simple attire to sexy outfits, while songs like Doja Cat's "Streets" have sparked various sexy trends on TikTok. NSFW (Not Suitable for Work) TikTok accounts enhance the heat of the atmosphere by adding cheerful expressions, caressing movements, and tongue-twisting actions, without even pretending that everyone's thoughts are different.

Some NSFW TikTok creators have moved away from the trends and achieved success in the ejaculation countdown category. Countdown TikTok is the most exciting part of masturbation instructional videos, and there is nothing to be alarmed about.

Level Three: Sneaky Porn on TikTok

This is where we crossed from what could be considered immoral TikTok sexual content to a completely uncool boundary.

Some TikTok accounts post content that is completely inappropriate for the workplace through stickers and the sharing area. Some even go to the extent of being creative, using deliberately placed thumbnails to create pornographic images. The profiles of most of these TikTok porn accounts will plead with you not to view their shares or stickers, while they themselves do not post any content.

Some people have adopted a strategy that not only allows them to evade the moderators but also increases the traffic. In short, this strategy is truly repulsive.

The link above? Is it the one with the pictures of gay-themed animated tiles? Those were reposted, but in the video, there were cartoon girls in different costumes. The pages of other similar accounts were filled with clips from Marvel movies and animations. Costume dolls, Spider-Man, Avatar. You know, all of these are things for kids to watch.
